Ya Mon!

You're probably reading the title and thinking huh? As I am writing this, my husband is in the livingroom playing old school reggae music and that music brings me back to Jamaica. I absolutely adore Jamaica; the people, the dialect, the beer, the coffee, etc.. Of course it is the place where my journey of motherhood began *wink, wink* and the munchkin is bouncing up and down to each beat! I have been there 3 times and each time I go, I swear I fall more in love with it! So as I am sitting here in front of the computer, I am pretending to be sitting at the pool bar drinking a Miami Vice while my hubby has his music playing......and I will have my little Gabmeister taking in all the beauty Jamaica has to offer. My husband and I would go on vacation regularly and I want Gabs to experience everything that we have and more!

Now that I have pinched myself and awoke from my fantasy, it has been a while since I have wrote a new entry to this blog and let me be honest, I have just been lazy. So much has happened with my ray of light since the last post. Gabby has now learned to say "uh-oh" and "woah" but still no "mama" (insert sad face here). She loves to brush her teeth and she does every morning and night! She is standing up every chance she can. She did let go a few times and after about 5-6 seconds she plops back down to the ground, but she is trying. I can tell she will be walking sooner than I know it! It is pretty amazing to see her personality develop. Boy, she is a feisty one and I see so much of myself in her its scary! Her temper is OOC (out of control). It is so fitting that she was called a diva while I was pregnant because seriously she is!

I must say we had a great weekend, despite all the snow that New York City has been getting. My family has started having Family Night where we play Loteria aka Bingo. This is a big deal because the last time my family was together and played Loteria, I was a young girl and oh how I longed to be able to have a card of my own and play. I cant begin to explain how much I look forward to Family night. As dysfunctional as we are, my gut always hurts from laughing so much! Leaving with some extra cash at the end of night is just a bonus.

What is better than the kiddies "lounge" I love my babygirl, my godson Brandyn and of course WD who's always cheesin' for the camera! I hope these three stay close and get along just as much as their mommies do!

Pictures to come!
